I know this subject talked about and talked about and talked about , until noone cares to hear about it. Or until we’ve become so numb apathy has set in. I just finished an article in the Time magazine, that has sent me whirling into a cloud of confusion. So I propose the question in the hope that someone can enlighten me. IS ALL THE MONEY THE WORLD GOVERNMENTS ARE SPENDING ON DEFENSE REALLY BENEFITING THE GLOBAL ECONOMY??
Ok , here are the stats: world governments spent $1.46 trillion on defense in 2008; making up2.4% of global gross domestic product. U.S. topped the list at $607 billion, China at$84.9billion,France $65.7,U.K. $65.3< Russia $56.6, Germany $46.8, Japan $46.3, Italy $40.6, Saudi Arabia $38.2, and India $30.0 all in billions.
I don’t know? I just don’t get it. Any comments out there? Thanks for listening….nick
