SCHOOL BOUND

I saw this ad in a writers magazine for  writing classes. Reluctantly I mailed the card not really expecting to go any further than that. Well they send me back a long letter and aptitude test, saying that they don’t accept anyone without testing them first. My usual tug of war in my mind led me to the nay side. Convincing myself I wasn’t good enough to do it. So I blew it off.

Here it is 5 maybe 6 tears later and I get an email  from them. Surprised to hear from them after all this time. I  complete the test on line  before I chance to talk myself out of  it. Still not expecting much to come of it. Well yesterday I received  their answer in the mail detailing everything. Totally accepting me to apply.Creditability and where I can check on them. Even an intro  to what would be my mentor. One on one instruction.

I AM REALLY TRIPPIN ON THIS. As long as I can remember I’ve wanted to write and write well. And I’ve relt for a long time the need for a mentor. I’m not weighing this decision lightly as it could have a great impact on my future. First I want to check them out . Seeing if they are who they say they are. Nothing personal one just can’t be too careful these days. Wish me luck.

  1. Hi Nick:)Wish you all the best.Remember one thing. You must be prepared to sit and write every day without fail. The tutor will guide you but you have to do all the hard work. No one can be a great athlete unless he is prepared to put in long hours of hard practice.Dreaming is one thing and doing is another thing. Every thing starts with a dream.Best of luck:)Joseph
