OUT SOURCING JOBS….

Out sourcing jobs isn’t making much sense to me. Let  me see if I can  express the rationale. Big business are out sourcing  to save money on production. In theory increasing bottom line profits. On paper this does appear to be a good thing. BUT what about the down side? Jobs are now gong overseas, plants are closing and people are losing their job. With no money who is going to buy the products?? I can’t see a win win situation here.

  1. Hi Nick,I fully understand and appreciate your concern. Companies are cutting down their cost of production by outsourcing to remain competitive in business. It is their survival. If they don't out source the prices of their products and services will be prohibitively high and they will not be able to sell their products in the international markets. The result is loss of jobs in USA but plenty of jobs are created in countries like India and China where labor costs are very cheap. If fact some US and European companies have relocated their manufacturing plants in other countries where labor costs are cheap without compromising on quality. In Us and Europe the labor costs are very high because the standard of living is high. What we consider as luxury here is a common thing used in every household there. Well it is basic economics of business.I am sure you will have something to say on this.Joseph

  3. Hi Joseph, I can appreciate your comment as being a reality. The world has evolved into a global economy. The up side is that it has opened up opportunity were there wasn't any. The down side is that the US hasn't made the transition. Twenty Century ways are not working in a Twenty First Century world. We need to grow up and find the balance. Necessary for survival and not an impossible dream. It will be interesting to see where we go from here. Thanks again Joseph….
