Happiness is a state of being happy. So what makes you happy? Do you seek another person to bring you happiness? Do you find the need to travel to a place that makes you happy? Or is there some thing you desire to make you happy? Maybe any combination of the three.
The word that comes to my mind is temperance. Number one, I don’t think it is humanly possible to maintain a state of constant bliss. Another thing is if you are always in pursuit of your own happiness then when will you have time to give back some of the joy.
The natural law of giving and receiving is important to me. I don’t see one working without the other. There is another natural law that applies here that would be the natural law of contrast. Simply put how would one know happiness unless one knows sadness?
