We have always been told we live in the greatest country in the world. Ideally this appears to be true. But look a little deeper. Deeper past the cosmetics, that perfect portrait of America. It doesn’t take long to see what is spoken and what is done do not match. If you don’t believe me step out of your comfort zone and on to the prosperous American city streets… What do we see? .
How about if I give you the guided tour? I live here in Phoenix, Arizona, but it could be any town U.S.A. Weather is a factor It never snows and we get very little rain. Except for a few months in the summer with three digit temperatures the weather is perfect. It seems to attract transient and the homeless. Especially in the winter months.
The early morning is the best time to people out and about. By eleven, twelve o’clock the temperature is well over 100 degrees. So most people have found shelter, some place to get out of the heat. Maybe at the park under a shade tree. Or maybe you’ll find a shopping mall to hang out in. Or maybe if you are having a really good day you have scrapped up enough change to go to Dunkin Donuts for an ice coffee and scone, while basking in an air conditioned environment.
At any given day you will see some one pushing a grocery cart down the street. No they are not packing their groceries home. In the first place they have no place to call home. The streets are home and that cart they are pushing probably contains all of their worldly possessions. Talking to them and you get a variety of stories. You might be surprised to find that most street people are just like you and me. they lost it all…..
I know there are some that don’t believe what I am saying. They don’t want to hear it . They don’t want to see it. No it hurts to face reality. You would rather believe a lie.To hear someone saying what you want to hear. To put all your faith and trust in a single person saying he will make America great again.
It is starting to look like a a reality show rather than real life.
